Oneness

Oneness.
There are many flowers in the world and not a single one of them needs to compare itself to another. Each flower is beautiful in its uniqueness, yet for some reason we humans don’t always recognise our own beautiful uniqueness and we sometimes compare and judge ourselves against others, focussing on separateness rather than unity. This is also true in the realm of spirituality. For example, I was once told by a Kundalini teacher “one day you will understand that it’s the real Yoga” or “a headstand is not Yoga” and more! Yoga changes and evolves along with humanity. Every teacher and every type of Yoga is unique and valuable, resonating with our individual nature.
Patanjali’s definition of Yoga is “Yogas chitta vritti nirodha”.
This translates to “Yoga is the removal of fluctuations of the mind”.
Yoga stills the mind until it rests in a state of absolute tranquility, so that we can experience the reality of life. When we are able to see life through clear lenses, rather than through lenses coloured by separateness and judgement, we are able to experience oneness. This is Yoga. So actually, Yoga could be anything. It could be painting, gardening, climbing or something which restores the mind to its purest state. It’s time to let go of stagnating dogmas and embrace everyone in a circle of peace, love and light. Join us for transformational Yoga classes @portalsdeyoga
