Less Muscular effort, more Prana

LESS MUSCULAR EFFORT, MORE PRANA

Last week I had a deep conversation with a student. We agreed that fundamentally there is no such thing as ‘the grass is greener on the other side’. The truth is we can waste a lot of energy by focussing on someone else’s garden rather than looking after our own. When we stop running around in circles by comparing what everyone else has or how much more wonderful someone else is, we can allow our own light and energy to develop. Trying to find happiness outside ourselves rather than from within is a losing game which the matrix tricks us into, and just delays our development. Yoga is a wonderful tool which grounds us and keeps us focussed on our higher priorities, reminding us of our true essence; Love and Light. During each yoga practice we can connect to our higher self and the Higher loving beings around us. While we are practicing to become one with the Absolute, sometimes we experience physical pains which relate to a stagnation of energy. For me, I have shoulders and hips which still speak to me regularly and it’s an ongoing process of letting go. Our physical body invites us to look within in order to release old habits and patterns which hold us back. Bringing awareness and breath to blocked areas will ultimately set us free as we give them up to the Light. My teacher always used to remind me that ‘Less muscular effort, more prana’. As we focus more on moving energy rather than muscle, we more easily connect in prayer to God. May we all feel gratitude for the presence of Divine Light and for all Spiritual teachers and Angels around us.
