
Awaken heart.
Our yoga practice teaches us to stay with an open heart. To be able to keep our heart open and stop building armour around it we need to educate ourselves mentally and emotionally. The first step is to learn to accept ourselves and love ourselves the way we are, learning to be compassionate with our own wounds. We can’t be compassionate to others if we are not compassionate with ourselves.
The second step is to let our heart shine, showing our warmth, brilliance and grace. This encourages everyone around us to blossom and expand too. We are all together in the circle of Love and Light. The third step is to embrace life as it is, without judgement, labelling or grasping. All challenging events and emotions should encourage us to awaken our heart with compassion. In yoga practice we learn to surrender and breathe through uncomfortable moments without shutting ourselves down. All the great things in our life encorage us to share and enjoy with the people around us. May we all be generous with our Joy, Love and Gratitude. The fourth step is to remind ourselves about the passage of time. Everything we feel right now can be so raw and intense, but sooner or later these feelings will fade and eventually pass. Everything is just a moment. We are all just witnessing so there is no need to lose ourselves. The fifth step is to imprint in our mind that everything is for us not against us. Everything is Love even when our mind can’t comprehend it. Life is a blessing and Gratitude is the answer to everything. May we all see Divine Love and Light in all things and in all beings.
