Gain through surrender

I don’t like cold AT ALL! I never usually swim in November. Once I swam in January but it was in the steamy hot ocean off Western Australian. Tuesday was a beautiful day in Mallorca and my mind registered it as a summer day so I thought it was time to say hello to the catcher of my heart, the sea. My first encounter with the waves was the best example of what aversion looks like – I jumped out pronto. My inner guidance told me not to be ridiculous and to calm down to give this a chance. I made no promises as I stayed watching the waves coming and going for a while. I slowly let go off resistance and allowed myself to feel the water (does it remind you of our yoga class?!). Then I focused on my breath and surprisingly Bhagavad Gita teachings entered my consciousness, “When one can withdraw the senses from sense objects, like a tortoise draws within, his wisdom is unwavering. By abstaining from sense objects, they will drop away. Longing for them will also make them disappear, upon realizing the highest truth.” The inner guidance asked who is it that feels cold? My Spirit obviously can’t feel it.” So I dived in. It was bliss as every single cell of my body felt joy and aliveness. Energy was pumping in. I was radiating.

We have to learn how to surrender, how to trust, how to keep following the inner guru and stop the inner battle of Kurukshetra between weakness and rightness, darkness and light, ignorance and truthfulness.

The more we focus on the Divine Love the more we generate it inside us and around us.
