Love is the answer

Yoga is one of the many spiritual practices given to humanity which millions of people practice every day. There are also many different types of yoga and it could be quite an overwhelming choice (like in an Indian market), so it’s important to listen to the heart and choose the one which really resonates with our inner nature – the one which allows us to most easily connect and flow with Divine Source. Yoga is able to make us conscious of the Divine presence inside us and around us. It is a treat for the physical body as we move with our breath, our love, kindness and compassion. As my teacher Ajay Kumar would say, “leave the ego outside”! Practice with awereness on the inhale and the exhale. Hold the breath as appropriate and the mind starts to activate brain waves which lead to a state of meditation. We can find inner peace here and we become aware of beauty and love with everyone and everything. We feel in love with the world. A great yoga class is not when we are standing on one hand for 10 minutes (actually still can’t!) or putting the legs behind the head or doing splits in the air. No, it’s when we want to hug everyone, want to tell our loved ones how much we love and appreciate them. And it’s when we are grateful to enjoy one more day of life, one more breath. It’s when we connect from heart to heart with unconditional love.
